Jonathan Ball

Poked Studio is Welsh illustrator and graphic designer Jonathan Ball. Inspired by lo-brow art forms such as cartoons, old school videogames, Japanese illustration, pop culture, urban art and cute monsters, he creates fantasy worlds and characters in vibrant colours and settings.
Jonathan's illustrations are like windows into crazy cartoon worlds and heavily feature cute monsters and characters, so much so that even the environmental elements become characters!
His work is often vector artwork and his style reminds me a lot of graffiti art. A lot of his illustrations are given added depth by creating them using 3d software. His 3d pieces work well as his style of illustration suits the medium perfectly.
