Much of his work is based on intricate linework and incorporates vector art mixed with hand drawn elements. The colour he uses in his work is striking and bold but well balanced at the same time. Matts earlier work often featured cartoon-like characters and a lot of this work incorparates textures and hand drawn elements which gives it a collage-like look.
Matts also creates typographic pieces and the characters he creates are almost child-like and are full of fun and almost have a personality of their own.
Matt's work is also featured on various ranges of t-shirts and his bold style is well suited for that purpose and they really stand out.
